Following user requests for improved task organisation and prioritisation, we're upgrading the task favourites feature to a comprehensive colour-coded priority system. Users can now assign priority levels to tasks using coloured stars, filter and sort by priority, and export priority information with task data. Existing favourited tasks will automatically be set to Medium priority when this feature releases on 25 June 2026.
New Feature
Colour-Coded Priority System for Tasks
The task favourites feature has been upgraded to a full colour-coded priority system. You can now assign one of four priority levels to any task โ Urgent, Medium, Low, or No Priority โ represented by red, amber, green, or uncoloured stars. Priority can be filtered and sorted on the Task List, and is included as a column in task exports. This is particularly useful for users managing large task lists who need to triage work by urgency, for practice managers prioritising team workloads, or for anyone coordinating tasks across multiple clients and deadlines. Colour-coded star icon with priority selection
Clicking the star icon on any task now opens a dropdown with four options: No Colour (No Priority), Red (Priority 1 โ Urgent), Amber (Priority 2 โ Medium), and Green (Priority 3 โ Low). The star immediately updates to the selected colour and the dropdown closes. When clicking an already-coloured star, the current colour is highlighted in the dropdown so you can see its existing state at a glance.

A Priority filter has been added to the filter dropdown on the Task List page. Filter options appear in order: No Priority, Priority 1 (Urgent), Priority 2 (Medium), Priority 3 (Low). It works in the same way as all existing Task List filters.
