Release Summary
We're expanding the Bulk Actions functionality on the Task List page. users can now add the same progress note to multiple task sat once, saving you time when you need to update several tasks with consistent information. This complements the existing bulk complete and bulk reassign options, giving you even more ways to manage tasks efficiently.
What's changing:
We're adding a new "Add Progress Note" option to the Bulk Actions dropdown on the Task List page
How it works:
- Select the tasks you want to update using the checkboxes
- Click Bulk Actions and choose "Add Progress Note"
- A modal appears where users can:
Enter your progress note in the text box
Optionally select staff members to notify from a dropdown list
Click Publish to add the note to all selected tasks, or Dismiss to cancel
Why this matters:
- Save time – Update multiple tasks with the same information in one go, rather than opening and editing each task individually
- Maintain consistency – Ensure identical progress notes across related tasks (e.g., "Awaiting client documents" on all VAT returns for a particular client)
- Keep teams informed – Notify relevant colleagues about progress updates across multiple tasks simultaneously
- Streamlined workflow – Fewer clicks and less repetition means users can focus on the work that matters
This is particularly useful when you need to update several tasks with the same status (e.g., marking multiple tasks as awaiting the same information, or noting that a client meeting has been completed for several related pieces of work).
