Introduction
BrightHub is now the central system used to manage all of Bright product subscriptions, including recurring billing, one off payments and licensing.
This user guide outlines changes made in BrightManager to accommodate the integration with BrightHub.
My Details
Portal users
Client Portal access will remain as is for portal users without BrightID. Portal users will still have access to ‘Change Password’, ‘Update Incoming and Outgoing Email’ and ‘Two Factor Authentication’.
BrightID users
The following fields on My Details page are read only for BrightID/BrightManager users.

To edit your name or mobile number, click on ‘Edit Profile’. You will be directed to your BrightHub profile page to make changes. Emails cannot be changed.
Password change and two factor authentication has been moved to BrightHub and can only be changed in BrightHub. Two factor authentication are now part of BrightID and BrightHub and cannot be managed by any of the Bright products including BrightManager.
To change password, 2FA in BrightHub:
- Click on your profile icon > Edit profile
- Users get directed to Setting/Manage BrightID page
- User can change these in ‘Security’ section
Profile Icon
The profile icon drop down now looks like the below screenshot. Users can read their SMS and AML balance from the dropdown.
‘Purchase credits’ – User will be directed to Buy credits page in BrightHub.
‘View subscriptions’ - User will be directed to Products page in BrightHub.
SMS & AML credits
The SMS and AML pages are no longer available in BrightManager and are only purchasable in BrightHub > Products page.
Once in BrightHub you will find the Products option down the left hand side of the page.
To purchase SMS or AML credit:
- Click on the 3 dots next to open
- Select ‘Buy credits’
User will be directed to the credits page where they can select the quantity and purchase their SMS and/or AML credits.
Users must buy at least 200 units/£12 + VAT for SMS and at least 5 units for AML.
White Label
The user will set up their brand in BrightManager as usual and then purchase white labelling on the subscription page in BrightHub.
- Go to Settings > Portal Branding
- Click on ‘Get started with white-labelling’
- User is directed to the subscription page in BrightHub
- User purchases portal branding in BrightHub
- When payment is successful user will get notified in BrightManager
- User creates white label and saves it
Alternatively, this can be purchased first in BrightHub and then set up in BrightManager.
User will get notified to set up their white labelling.
Cancel Subscription
To cancel your BrightManager subscription, you have the option to do it yourself through the BrightHub interface. Here’s how you can do it:
- Log in to your BrightHub account.
- Navigate to 'Members' and click on 'Manage' under 'Product Allocations'.
- Look for a red 'Cancel Subscription' button at the bottom or bottom right corner of the page. Clicking this will initiate the cancellation process.
Note that once you click 'cancel subscription', your access to BrightManager will remain until the next billing date, after which you will no longer have access.
Staff Page
Users can no longer edit some staff details, deactivate or add a staff in BrightManager.
Adding and removing Staff is now done in BrightHub and there is now an option to redirect to Brighthub on the staff page to achieve this. However if you wish to edit a staff members permissions to grant or restrict access to specific elements of the software this is still done within BrightManager through the staff > Edit Details and Permissions screen.
Only the owner or admin can deactivate a staff member in BrightHub.
Some fields are now read only in BrightManager and can only now be edited in BrightHub. If the user updates their name or number in BrightHub this will be reflected on the Edit Staff User page.
Account Settings
The ‘Billing Address’ field has been changed to ‘Company Address’. Company Name and Company Address in Account Settings are now read only.
To update these fields:
- Go to Settings > Accounts Settings (in BrightManager).
- Under Account Details you will see the 'Edit in BrighHub' button.
- Click on the ‘Edit in BrightHub’ button.
- This will land you on the ‘Organisation Profile’ page in BrightHub.
- You will have 3 boxes you edit, one for Name and Address, the other for Business details and the final box for Billing contact.
Only the owner and the admin can make these changes.

Billing Page
Now that billing functions are handled in BrightHub (by the user) and Maxio (by sales), the billing page in BrightManager has been removed. The billing page will still be accessible for users to access pre-hub invoices here;
