To import your clients into BrightManager, follow the below steps.
Note: You will need to create a client spreadsheet to import into the system.
1. Hover over Tools along the top and select Import Clients as below.
2. You can drag and drop you spreadsheet with client details into the space shown below and select Import Clients. There are also helpful tips outlined here that you can review before actioning.
3. Once the import is complete, the system will bring you to the clients screen as below. You can also go here by selecting Clients - Client List.
Note: If you have duplicate Clients in your import, once Imported it will duplicate the Client on the system and you will have two of the same Client.
While you can perform an initial client import and data export as Excel documents, BrightManager does not support direct integration with Excel for live data syncing.
If you add Clients to the import sheet that are already on the System then this will also duplicate the Clients, it will not over right the existing Client.
It is not possible to import updates to existing clients, as it will create duplicates instead. Please contact support directly regarding bulk updates.
Note: As BrightManager integrates with Companies House in the UK and the Companies Registration Office in Ireland, 10 minutes after the sync is complete, any approvals will appear in your notifications in the top right. The systems will then sync every 24 hours. To approve changes, go to Tools - Approve CH Changes or Tools - Approve CRO changes for Irish clients.

“Merge Duplicate Clients?”
Client profiles cannot be merged in BrightManager. I recommend opening both client files and their timelines to compare which one contains the most up-to-date information, and then deleting the other file
