If you edit and update an existing Custom Form that has already been sent to a client, here’s how it behaves based on the status of the form on the client’s side:
If the Custom Form is "Waiting for Client to Complete":
- Any edits or updates you make to the Custom Form will immediately be visible to the client when they next view the form.
- This means, if you add, remove, or modify fields, the client will see your updated version regardless of whether they have started filling it out or not.
- The client always interacts with the current version of the form until they submit it.
If the Client has "Saved the Custom Form as a Draft":
- If the client has saved the form as a draft and not yet submitted it, they will also see any edits or updates you make to the form the next time they open it.
- This ensures that the draft they continue to work on will contain your latest updates.
If the Custom Form has been "Completed" by the Client:
- If the client has already completed and submitted the form, any edits you make to the form will NOT be visible to them.
- The form is no longer available to the client once it’s marked as completed, so they cannot see or interact with your edits.
- If follow-up information is required, you would need to send a new form.
