To customise your Time logs and Timesheets within BrightManager, simply go to Settings > Account Settings and scroll to the Time Types Settings section. Here, you can add new Time Types or delete existing ones, including the default options, to ensure your time tracking aligns with your practice’s processes and terminology.
The Time Types area contains five columns:
- Time Type: The name of the time entry, such as Work, Admin, Call, Meeting, etc.
- Time Block Colour: The colour selected here determines how this time type will be displayed on your Timesheet.
- Default Type: You can designate only one Default time type. When starting a new time log, this default choice will automatically appear.
- Edit: Click the Edit option to change either the name of the Time Type or its colour.
- Actions: This column allows you to delete any Time Type that you no longer need.
When deleting a Time Type, a pop-up message appears prompting you to map the Time Type you are removing to another existing Time Type. This ensures any previous Time logs using the deleted type are updated to your selected type, so you keep your data clean and consistent.
To introduce a new Time Type, just click the blue '+ Add a Time Type' button. You’ll be prompted to enter the name and select the Block Colour. There’s no limit to the number of Time Types you can create, so you can adapt your time tracking to fit all aspects of your practice’s workflow.
This flexibility makes it easy to tailor the Time log and Timesheet system to your own processes without restriction.
