Welcome to Insights! This guide will walk you through how to access, create, filter, export, save, and manage your reports.
Please note only users with full permissions can access Insights, to discuss your permissions contact your account administrator directly.
1. Accessing Insights
To start using Insights:
- Navigate to the Tools menu in the main navigation bar.
- Select Insights from the dropdown menu.
You will then be taken to the Insights Landing Page, where you can create new reports or access saved reports.
Within Insights you can create reports from three available types:
- Aged WIP
- Profitability
- Chargeable vs Non-Chargeable
- Productivity

Tasks - After Selecting Tasks go to Summary Level you will have two options.
1. By Latest Action
2. By Turnaround time
Selecting Report Type
- On the Landing Page, locate the Report Type dropdown menu.
- Select the report type you want to generate.
- After selection, appropriate filter options will appear below.
Please note for Aged WIP you can select the following options in the Summary Level but this is only for Aged WIP.
- By Client
- By Staff
- By Client Manager
- By Client Partner
3. Using Filters
Each report type comes with specific filters to customise the data displayed:
Aged WIP Filters:
- Client Type
- Service
- Staff
- Client Partner
- Client Name
- Time Type
- Client Manager
Profitability Filters:
- Client Type
- Client Partner
- Client Name
- Client Manager
Chargeable vs Non-Chargeable Filters:
- Time Type
- Service
- Client name
- Client Partner
- Staff
- Chargeable
- Client Type
- Client Manager
Productivity Filter
- Time Type
- Service
- Client Name
- Client Partner

Task - By Latest Action Filter options

You will also have the options from the Task list to Hide Monitor Tasks and Hide Overdue Tasks.
Date Filtering
Please note that the Below filter only allows for Filtering dates in the past.
You can also filter reports by date using the built-in calendar option. Choose from quick pre-set ranges such as:
- This Week
- Last Week
- This Month
- Last Month
- This Quarter
- Last Quarter
- This Year
- Last Year
Alternatively, use the calendar interface to set custom date ranges to fit your reporting needs.
4. Running and Exporting Reports
- After applying your filters, click Run Report.
- You will be redirected to the report results page.
- To export the report, click the Export button.
Note: Upon exporting, you’ll receive a notification in the Bell Icon at the top of the screen. Click the notification to access the download button and save your CSV export file.
5. Saving Reports
You have the option to save your customised reports for future use:
- Click Save Report on the report page.
- Enter a name for your report.
- Optionally, choose to share this report with all your Team Members (sharing with selected individuals is not currently supported).
- Saved reports will appear under My Reports on the left-hand side navigation.
6. Accessing Saved and Shared Reports

My Reports: Contains all your saved reports organised by report type.
- Example: My Reports > Aged WIP by Client > Select report.
- Shared Reports: Displays reports shared across your team, accessible from the left-hand side menu.
- Practice Insights Page: Shows a summary of all saved reports with details such as Report Type, Summary Level, and whether it is shared.

Q1: How do I access Insights?
A: Simply navigate to the Tools menu in the main navigation bar and select Insights from the dropdown list. This will open the Insights Landing Page where you can create or view reports.
Q2: What types of reports can I create?
A: There are three types of reports available:

Additionally, you can filter by date using quick pre-sets or custom date ranges.
Q4: How do I filter reports by date?
A: Use the Calendar option to select pre-set date filters such as This Week, Last Month, This Quarter, etc. Alternatively, set a custom date range on the calendar screen for more specific filtering.
Q5: How do I export a report?
A: After running your report, click the Export button. You will receive a notification in the Bell Icon at the top of the screen. Click the notification to access and download the CSV export file.
Q6: Can I save reports for future use?
A: Yes! You can save reports by clicking Save Report after running a report. You will be prompted to name your report and optionally share it with your entire team. Saved reports appear under My Reports in the left-hand menu.
Q7: Can I share reports with specific team members?
A: At this time, reports can only be shared with all team members, not with specific individuals.
Q8: Where do I find my saved and shared reports?
A: Saved reports are located under My Reports on the left-hand menu, sorted by report type. Shared reports can be found in the Shared Reports section also on the left-hand side.
Q9: What should I do if I don’t receive the export notification?
A: Please ensure that notifications are enabled in your browser and check the Bell Icon for any new alerts. If the issue persists, contact support for further assistance.
