BrightManager is pleased to announce the following updates made on our platform.
Release Summary
New Services
We've introduced two new services on the client page for UK Self-Assessment clients:
MTD Quarterly Filing
- New accordion on SA client file for quarterly submissions
- Auto-generates quarterly tasks when Next Due date is entered
- Tasks use filing dates from client file for deadlines and names
MTD Final Declaration
- Located in 'Accounts and Returns Details' accordion for annual submissions
- Auto-generates annual tasks when Due date is entered
- Tasks incorporate Period End dates in task names
These two services can be globally enabled or disabled in Account settings.
Bookkeeping Integration - Auto-generates quarterly Bookkeeping tasks when both Bookkeeping and MTD Quarterly Filing are enabled
- Bookkeeping Period End syncs with MTD quarterly preparation and submission tasks
Email Templates
Automated Record Requesting
1. MTD Quarterly Filing Return Records Requested Email - Request information from clients for quarterly submissions
2. MTD Final Declaration Return Records Requested Email - Request information from clients for final submissions
Tax Payment Reminder Emails
- SA Tax Payment Reminder (31st January) Email
- SA Tax Payment Reminder (31st July) Email
These templates work with MTD Final Declaration when Tax Amount Due fields are populated.
Letter of Engagement Templates
Self Assessment Proposal Email:
- Now includes MTD Quarterly Filing and MTD Final Declaration fee fields
- Fees pulled automatically from client file
Letter of Engagement (Self Assessments & Partnership):
- Automatically includes MTD services in Scope of Services section (via %SERVICELIST%)
- Separate sections for MTD Quarterly Filing and MTD Final Declaration when applicable
- Fully customisable

Automation
Automatic Records Requesting:
- Configure days after period end to send requests
- Triggers when service is enabled, Latest Action is "Records Requested", and toggle is ON
Tax Payment Reminders:
- Configure days before 31st January and 31st July deadlines
- Triggers when Tax Amount Due fields are populated and toggle is ON
Any other automation setting will work per the existing functionality
