BrightManager is pleased to announce the following updates made on our platform.
Release Summary
The Xero integration is generating numerous support requests due to user dissatisfaction with BrightManager not being able to synch properly, consuming significant time from support and development teams. The aim of this project is to change the synching time from every 30 minutes to real time, thus allowing the users to have their invoices and outbound clients up to date at all times.
The main objectives are to:
- Reduce support requests related to integrations.
- Improve customer satisfaction.
- Enhance internal efficiency by reducing time spent on addressing integration issues.
1. Real time synching
Invoices now syncs in real time so the user will get instant updates for their invoices. Outbound clients will also syncs in real time so the user’s contacts are always up to date in Xero. Inbound clients will be considered after the Bright Client release.
Please note:
- The tax rate and accounts synch will run every hour.
- BrightManager will override Xero invoice ID if “Custom Invoice No.” is set in BrightManager, otherwise Xero will determine the invoice number.
2. Audit Logs
Users can now see error messages in audit logs to understand and potentially fix invoice sync failures, particularly where the error may be from Xero.
3. Invoice List
3.1 Add Xero logo
In order to easily differentiate legacy BrightManager invoices from Xero and QuickBooks invoices, a Xero/QB logo has been added next to all invoice ID that are linked on the invoice list.
3.2 Failed synched invoices on Invoice list page
An exclamation mark will be shown next to the invoice ID on the Invoice list page for invoices that failed to synch. Hovering overthe exclamation mark, reveals the error message in a tooltip for troubleshooting.
4. Client List
Clients shared with Xero and QuickBooks will now display their respective logos, so you can instantly see which platform each one is connected to.
