BrightManager is pleased to announce the following updates made on our platform.
Release Summary
We’re pleased to introduce the new Chargeable vs. Non-Chargeable by Staff report, designed to provide practices with clear visibility into how time is allocated across the organisation.
The report offers a detailed breakdown of time recorded by each staff member, distinguishing between
chargeable time (activities billable to clients) and non-chargeable time (such as internal meetings, training, or administrative work). This enables practices to ensure that billable hours are accurately invoiced, while internal contributions are appropriately accounted for. The summary view presents both the total time and the corresponding monetary values at a glance—helping highlight where valuable practice time is being spent.
Chargeable Time: Calculated using the hourly rate entered in each individual time log.
Non-Chargeable Time: Calculated using the Hourly Chargeable Rate assigned to each staff member.
Total Time: The sum of Chargeable and Non-Chargeable Time values.
Users can also drill down into each staff member’s summary for a second-level breakdown by time type, including any custom-defined time types specific to their practice.
This report supports improved planning, enhanced time management, and more accurate reporting—benefiting both internal operations and client billing.
