Welcome to our help article where we guide you on using the newly introduced Working Hours feature on the Staff page. Our support team is here to help you understand how to effectively track time, monitor targets, and drive performance for your team.
To use this Feature, Navigate to Settings > Staff.
Only Full Permission Users will have access to this Feature.
You will see the Working Hours and Targets button on the Top right of the screen. Once you have click this button you will be presented with the below pop up.
You have a few options.
Staff - Here you can select multiple staff members that you one the following settings to be applicable to.
Weekly Working Hours –
- Set the Weekly working hours here for these Staff Members.
- The Staff cannot Exceed 168 hours a week.
- The Entries are logged in Hours so if you staff member works 40 hours and 45 Minutes you would need to enter this as 40.75
Weekly Time Logged Target -
- Set the Weekly Time Logged Target for these Staff Members.
- You can enter the Time logged in either Hours or a Percentage.
- These Fields also not exceed 168 working hours
Weekly Chargeable Time Target -
- Set the weekly chargeable time target for these staff members.
- You can enter the Time logged in either Hours or a Percentage.
Once all the detailed have been entered you will click Apply.
You can also apply these Settings to individual staff members by selecting the 3 dots next to the staff name and selecting Edit Details and Permissions.
You will be able to see the same options here and they work in the same way as above.
What is the Working Hours Feature?
The Working Hours feature allows you to set and track two key targets for each staff member:
- Overall Time Logged: Total hours logged by the staff member.
- Chargeable Time Logged: Hours logged that are billable or chargeable.
These targets are visible on the Staff page, giving you a clear overview of your team’s time utilization.
How Does It Help?
By setting these KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), you can monitor performance more effectively. The data from Working Hours feeds directly into the Productivity by Staff report, where you can:
- See hours logged against individual targets.
- Compare chargeable vs. non-chargeable time.
- View logged time via the drill down.
- Break down entries by different time types used in your practice.
This makes it easier to identify who is on track and where additional support or adjustments may be needed.
