Our aim with applying changes to the Client List was primarily to improve performance with a refresh in user experience. A key change is that the client list will no longer load all clients by default. We understand some of you may prefer to still load all clients, and that’s ok! We have added a setting where you can choose the default load behaviour.
If you prefer to have all your clients load, simply navigate to Settings > My Settings and switch this slider from this
To this
Remember to click the
Button at the bottom of the page.
Performance
The overall performance for the client list has been reengineered to provide faster results. Coupling this with an improved UI designed to encourage focusing on clients that fall into specific groups as defined by your custom filters and bookmarks significantly reduces the time this client list can take to load.
User Interface Changes
You will notice a new quick start panel at the top of the page. The features such as creating or
applying new bookmarks and filters have moved to here. Once a filter is applied, this panel neatly
collapses to maximise the view of your results. Clicking the arrow icon in the corner will expand it
again when you want to specify your next search.
Unless you have set ‘Always Load all Clients’, when you first visit the client list, the lower part of the
page will now display a ‘no results’ panel explaining the options to build a filter or to simply go ahead
and load all clients.
Other features, such as adding or emailing a client remain on the tool buttons to the top right.
Start a new search
Clicking the
Button in this pane opens the familiar filter builder
Build your filter criteria as you always have and click the Add Filter Button.
To clear a filter, simply click the
Button to the right of the results table.
If your filter returns no results, you will see the ‘No results’ pane displayed.
Bookmarks
The Bookmarks popup has been redesigned to make it a little clearer to use. From this popup, you can save the currently applied filter as a Bookmark (which you can share with other users, or keep as private to yourself) and also view previously save bookmarks and apply them as the active filter.
Clicking a bookmark in the saved list immediately applies it.
Previous search
Sometimes you want to jump straight back in to where you left off but have forgotten to save a bookmark. You can now simply re-apply the last search you executed. The client list always remembers the last filter that was applied.
Click the previous search button and your last results automatically reload.
